The Open Information Collective (OIC) is an organization dedicated to ensuring free and open access to information. This includes a variety of advocacy efforts for access to public records and government meetings, for privacy, and against censorship.

This site contains our statements about various issues, copies of our reports, and all documents we have obtained over time. All internal OIC documents are also provided for on this website, unless we are legally prohibited from distributing them.

If you’re looking for ways to circumvent censorship, consider using a VPN (either provided by a company, or set up by yourself). The top VPN protocols currently are OpenVPN, WireGuard, L2TP/IPsec, and SSH; all are viable, but some or all may be blocked on your network. The OIC is also working on its own anti-censorship protocol.

If you’re searching for public records and public information, you’ll need to look up the information for your jurisdiction. We provide many guides for different jurisdictions on how to do this. For assistance with your efforts, please visit our contact page.

If you would like to join the OIC, coordinate efforts with the OIC, or generally associate with the OIC, please contact us!
