Please note: the letters from the OIC sent during September 2023 about the Ralph M. Brown Act, while technically being applicable, would have been better referenced as referring to the Bagley-Keene Open Meetings Act. Similar statutes still do apply, as the Bagley-Keene Act and the Brown Act are nearly identical items of legislation, simply targeting state agencies for Bagley-Keene and local agencies for the Brown Act.
